The Sundsberg partial master plan area is located in eastern Kirkkonummi. The concept plan explores opportunities for developing the urban structure in the area between Länsiväylä and Espoonlahti, with a focus on compact, urban, and housing-oriented development supported by a diverse range of services.
The planning process examined several alternative development models, aiming to create a vibrant and well-connected district. The area offers rich natural values and excellent recreational opportunities, which form a key part of the overall identity of Sundsberg.
The development of Morninniemi strengthens the connection to the sea, enhancing both accessibility and the quality of the waterfront environment. The Sundsberg area will feature a wide variety of housing types, supporting a diverse and inclusive community. Public transport connections between Espoo and Masala will be significantly improved, further integrating the area into the wider metropolitan region.
