Ruusukortteli, located in centre of Turku is being complemented with two 9-story new buildings along Koulukatu and Ruusukorttelinkuja. The design is based on fitting into the urban structure and character of the old grid area. The buildings form a new terminus for Yliopistonkatu.

The buildings will house a daycare, a grocery store, state-subsidized rental apartments, and senior apartments, totaling 309 units. They enclose a sheltered courtyard, which partly serves as the daycare’s outdoor area. The plan preserves some of the trees in the courtyard. Parking is located beneath the daycare and playground. The project included the zoning plan, reference design, and project plan.
