Skanska’s “Jätkän syke” won the competition organised by the City of Helsinki for the design of the Jätkäsaari central block. The competition proposal was developed in collaboration with Skanska, LOCI Landscape Architects, SWECO, and WSP.
The Jätkäsaari central block includes primarily housing, along with a grocery store and other retail and office spaces. The block is designed as a unified perimeter block, featuring a podium and 16-, 18-, and 24-storey residential towers.
The site is located in a central area of Jätkäsaari next to Hyväntoivonpuisto and borders Länsisatamankatu, one of the main streets in the area
